Security guard assaulted, cellphone possibly stolen

Tuesday, August 17, 2010 Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), N.S…. Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Halifax District responded to the old Halifax County Rehab Centre on Bissett Road where a security guard was assaulted and possibly robbed.

A male security guard observed four male suspects at the west corner of the building who were not to be on the property. As he approached the suspects, he was hit in the side of the head with a rock. He fell to the ground and the youth then kicked him about four times in the chest. They youth then left the area.  The victim dropped his cell phone and is unsure if he lost it or the suspects stole it. The victim was able to walk to a nearby residence where RCMP were called.
