Self-Defence Basics Sunday, December 4, 2011 1 pm until 4pm The Prospect Road Community Centre is offering a three hour seminar on Self-Defence basics. Designed for those who have little or no self-defence training, this seminar will cover simple techniques to assist you in removing yourself from confrontational situations. To get the most out of this seminar participants should be prepared for some non-strenuous activity. Participants will work with a partner and there will be some light contact. Bring a friend along or team up with someone when you arrive. Loose, "street" clothing that does not restrict movement and is suitable for a light work out is strongly recommended. This seminar will be presented by Sensei Gary Kenward, a Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu, a Blue Belt in Judo, and a certified instructor in the CAN-Ryu style of Jiu-Jitsu.
