Serious vehicle-pedestrian collision in Cole Harbour under investigation

The Halifax District RCMP is investigating a serious vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred on Cole Harbour Rd. in Cole Harbour.

Shortly before 10:00 p.m. on February 12, police, fire and EHS responded to a report of a collision on Cole Harbour Rd. Police learned that a white sedan was travelling on Cole Harbour Rd. when it collided with a pedestrian who had been crossing the road with a group of people. 

The driver of the sedan, a 20-year-old woman from Lawrencetown, was uninjured. The pedestrian, a 16-year-old female youth, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance. It has since been determined that the pedestrian’s injuries are not life-threatening.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Two lanes of Cole Harbour Rd. were closed for several hours. The investigation is continuing.
