Several RCMP traffic stops overnight result in drug seizures and arrests

On November 4, 2010, 8:22 PM, RCMP stopped a vehicle near the Forest Hills Parkway.  The Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) arrested a man and seized  a quantity of marihuana and cash.   Police believe the man was selling the drugs and arrested him under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act(CDSA).  The 21-year-old Dartmouth man will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court on December 21, 2010.
 
On November 4, 2010, 5:45 PM, Police checked a parked vehicle at a business located on Dispensing Way, Lower Sackville, N.S.   A 25-year-old woman from Sackville is charged with drug possession charges under the CDSA.   She will be appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court on January 19, 2011.
 
On November 5, 2010, shortly after midnight, RCMP stopped a vehicle on the St. Margaret's Bay Road.  The officers arrested two men, a 20-year-old driver from Timberlea and 20-year-old man from Hubley, under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.   Police seized a quantity of marihuana and what police believe to be approximately 100 "Ecstasy" pills. The matter is still under investigation.
