Halifax District RCMP is investigating after a sewing needle was found inside a Halloween chocolate bar.
On November 2, RCMP received a complaint after a mother of a 7-year-old girl discovered the needle. The child had been trick or treating on Kaleigh Dr., Briarwood Dr. and Caldwell Rd. in Eastern Passage during the early evening on October 31. There have been no other complaints to RCMP of `treats` being tampered with.
RCMP reminds parents to be vigilant and check your child`s candy before allowing them to eat them. If you do notice the candy has been tampered with, you are asked to call Police.
The investigation is continuing and RCMP is asking anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Halifax District RCMP at 902-490-5020.
