Tara Thorne, regular contributor to CBC Radio One’s Information Morning and national arts and culture show Q has said that What We’re Made Of, Turner’s collection of linked stories, is ”the sound of a new voice quietly but immovably announcing itself as one of the key leaders of a new generation of Halifax writers”. The collection was short-listed for the 2008 Metcalf-Rooke Award and will be published by Oberon Press in November 2009.
