Turner’s fiction has been described as “sharply wrought with an exciting undertow of sex and humour“. Tara Thorne, regular contributor to CBC Radio One’s Information Morning and national arts and culture show Q has said that What We’re Made Of, Turner’s collection of linked stories, is ”the sound of a new voice quietly but immovably announcing itself as one of the key leaders of a new generation of Halifax writers”. The collection was short-listed for the 2008 Metcalf-Rooke Award and will be published by Oberon Press in November 2009. He was born in Moncton, NB and now lives in Halifax, NS.
