Sexual assault at Bayers Lake store

Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred in Halifax on Wednesday and are releasing photos of the suspect.

On June 28, police received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. at Value Village located at 165 Chain Lake Drive. While inside the store, a man sexually assaulted a female youth who was not known to him. He then fled the store.

The suspect is described as a white man in his early 30s with dark hair, a skinny build, short facial hair and wearing black skinny jeans and a black and grey plaid long-sleeve shirt. The man was carrying a black duffle bag.

We are not releasing further details out of respect and concern for the victim’s privacy and well-being.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect, or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.
