Sexual assault in Clayton Park area

Police have charged a man in relation to a sexual assault that occurred in Halifax yesterday.

On October 25 at approximately 1:20 p.m. police received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred a short time earlier in the area of the Belchers Marsh Park trails. A man approached a woman who was walking on the trail and touched her in a sexual manner. The man was not known to the woman.

Officers arrived on scene and arrested the man a short distance away. A 33-year-old man will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face a charge of sexual assault.
