Shelburne man facing threats, firearms and drug charges, Shelburne, N.S.

At approximately 3:00 a.m. yesterday, January 19, Shelburne RCMP received a complaint regarding threats involving a firearm made by a Shelburne man via cell phone.

Officers quickly located the man at a Shelburne residence where he was arrested without incident for uttering threats. Later that day, with assistance from the Shelburne Street Crime Enforcement Unit, officers executed a search warrant at the residence and located an unsafely stored firearm and a quantity of cocaine.

Calvin James Ringer, 28, of Shelburne is facing the following charges:

– Uttering Threats x 2

– Unsafe Storage of Firearm

– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm/Prohibited Weapon

– Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking

– Failure to Comply with Probation Order

Ringer will be appearing at Shelburne Provincial Court later today.

The investigation is continuing.
