Shelburne RCMP stumble upon indoor Marijuana Grow Op, Sable River, N.S.

Shelburne RCMP were responding to a routine call when they located what officers suspected was a Marijuana Grow Operation. On Friday at approximately 12 p.m., Shelburne County Street Crime Enforcement Unit(SCEU) assisted the Shelburne Detachment and a search warrant was obtained for the property and residence.

On Friday at approximately 12 p.m., Shelburne County Street Crime Enforcement Unit(SCEU) assisted the Shelburne Detachment and a search warrant was obtained for the property and residence.

RCMP dismantled the indoor marijuana grow operation. Eight mature marihuana plants and a small quantity of harvested marijuana bud were seized from an outbuilding on the property and a small quantity of marijuana and various drug paraphernalia were seized from the residence.

A 34-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, both from Sable River, were arrested. They were later released and are scheduled to attend Shelburne Provincial Court on December 4th, 2013. Both face charges of Marijuana Cultivation and Possession. The investigation is continuing.
