The victim of a September shooting in Dartmouth has died in hospital.
On September 29 at approximately 10:20 p.m., police responded to a
report of shots being fired in the area between Regency Drive and
Hasting Street in Dartmouth. Upon arrival, officers located a
33-year-old Halifax man who had been shot. He was taken to hospital
where he remained until he passed away this morning.
At this time an official cause of death has not been determined and an
autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. The victim’s name is not being
released until such time as next of kin are notified and a cause of
death is determined.
Investigators assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit are
still interested in locating a vehicle that was observed leaving the
area of the shooting with a male driver and male passenger. The vehicle
is described as a black SUV with silver rims.
