Customer ticketed for COVID-19 infraction

Halifax Regional Police have issued a summary offence ticket for failing to comply with the regulations set out in the Health Protection Act.

On September 23 at approximately 8 a.m., police responded to a complaint of a customer who refused to wear a mask while inside of an establishment. Police investigated the report and issued a summary offence ticket to a 55-year-old man under section 71 (1) (b) of the Health Protection Act for failing to wear a mask, which carries a fine of $2,422.
