shopping with sears club points

shopping with sears club points Sears has always been near and dear to my heart since my grandmother made her career with the company. She was most definitely the friendliest, most well dressed lady in any department she worked in and always made her customers and co-workers feel special. As a little girl I remember visiting her at work and always feeling so excited to see her in her fancy high heeled shoes, a gorgeous blouse and skirt, perfectly curled hair and  swipe of mauve lipstick.  And can’t forget her signature scent, Guerlain’s Shalimar or Chanel N°5.

Most of us have some heartfelt connection to Sears whether it was growing up with the Wish Book or having a department store we could depend on when living in a small, rural town like I did as a child and as a mom over the past 6 years living in Northern Alberta. It has been a store that I could order quality snowsuits to keep my little ones warm in -40 degrees during our winter walks and was also the perfect stop for all the mom and baby essentials I needed when the nearest store was hours away. With free shipping, shopping with Sears has always been simple.

As an incentive,  Sears offers Club Points where you can earn 2% of your purchase back each time you use your Sears card. The idea is that you buy what you need, then get a little extra to buy something you want! Every dollar you spend earns you points! You can redeem your points instantly online, in-store at Sears or Sears Travel or apply for a Sears Rewards Card or you can donate your points to your community!

When it was time for me to redeem my points the first thing I did was find a counter to check my balance and then spent a nice quiet couple of hours roaming around the store checking out everything Sears had to offer.  I decided to use my points for some things for my boys that I had my eye on for a while. We have a dressy event to attend in a couple months and I needed to find my little boys some dapper suits to wear. I usually have a hard time finding matching clothes for them since they’re on opposite ends of the size chart, so I was thrilled to see that Sears had the same style boys Docker suits from size 2 all the way up to size 7! Since I had a little extra left in my points balance I decided to grab the little items that we didn’t necessarily need, but that were fun to have: cute tools for the kitchen since my boys help me bake and cook just about everyday.

The entire process was seamless – just a matter or picking out my items and telling the lovely lady at the counter that I would be using my points! As simple as using a gift card.

Disclosure – I am participating in the Sears Club Points program by Mom Central Canada.  I received compensation for my participation in this campaign. The opinions on this blog are my own.
