Shots fired at delivery driver in Dartmouth

On July 10th, 2021 shortly before midnight Halifax Regional Police officers were on an unrelated call in the area when they heard what sounded like multiple gunshots near Catherine Street and Lahey Road, Dartmouth.

Several officers attended the area immediately and located a man in a vehicle on Albro Lake Road who advised he had been delivering take-out food on Lahey Road when a group of 3-4 youth approached his vehicle and shot at him striking his vehicle multiple times before they ran away. The man fled to Albro Lake Road in his vehicle where he flagged down Police, he was not physically injured.

During the initial investigation it was discovered that another unoccupied vehicle and a residence on Lahey Road were also struck by bullets. The victim and suspects are not believed to be known to each other.

Investigators with the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation.  The investigation is in its preliminary stages and is ongoing.
