Homicide on Barrington Street

At approximately 8:26 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a weapons complaint with a male on injured in the 1200 block of Barrington Street, Halifax.  Multiple officers responded to the scene and located an adult male with life threatening injuries.  A number of officers are currently on scene.

Update: At Approximately 11:35 p.m., the victim, an adult male (21 yrs.) succumbed to his injuries.  The name of the victim is being withheld pending next of kin notification.  The investigation is now a Homicide.  Officers have located & arrested three adults and are not looking for any other suspects.  Investigators with the Major Crime Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Unit are conducting the investigation, which is on going. 

Traffic Blocked: All pedestrian and vehicle traffic is blocked on Barrington Street between Bishop Street and South Street.  Traffic will remain blocked for an extended period of time while investigators process the scene.
