Shots fired in Woodside area, B&E in South End Halifax

At 5:15 pm., Halifax Regional Police responded to the area of Everett Street in Dartmouth for several reports of shots fired. As units responded they observed a vehicle being operated in a suspicious manner. The three occupants of the vehicle exited and ran, officers pursued the males and eventually apprehended all three. Two other males were subsequently located and apprehended fleeing from the area of Everett Street and MacKenzie Street. Several spent casings were located on Everett Street but investigators could not determine if any buildings had been hit, no persons were reported being injured. Two firearms were recovered as a result of the investigation and three adult males will attend court on April 28th to face several weapon related charges.

At 7:55 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a residence in the 6200 block of Jubilee Road for a report of three males,which had broken into a residence. The males, one with what police believe to be a firearm, confronted the residents and attempted to steal items from the house. One of the suspects assaulted a resident and then all three fled the area. Police checked the area but could not locate the suspects.

The suspects were described as 3 males, all in their 20's, dressed all in black, with their faces covered with bandanas. The incident remains under investigation.
