Friday, Sept. 19, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the sidewalk on the southwest corner of Hollis Street and Duke Street will be closed this weekend and early next week while crews repair a manhole cover in the intersection.

Starting at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, the sidewalk will close in front of the Bluenose II Restaurant. Crews will accommodate access into the restaurant. The sidewalk will reopen overnight at 7 p.m. Saturday.

If required, the sidewalk will be closed briefly on Sunday, Sept. 21, while crews clean up and secure the work site. Crews will be back on Monday, Sept. 22, through to Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. until about 4 p.m. The sidewalk at that corner will be closed only for those hours.

The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this closure or the work may cause.
