Sidewalk Closure – Hollis Street

Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the sidewalk on one side of Hollis Street between Duke and George streets will be closed to pedestrians on Friday, Oct. 3, for the Easter Seals Drop Zone fundraiser.

Drop Zone involves participants propelling down the side of the office building at 1801 Hollis St. to raise money and awareness of Nova Scotians with disabilities.

To ensure the safety of those taking part in the event and any people walking below, the sidewalk alongside the building will be closed from 6 a.m. until about 6 p.m. Friday.

This event will not affect vehicle traffic in the area, and pedestrians will still be able to use the sidewalk on the opposite side of the street.
