Update 10:50am: Chain Lake has been reopened.

At 8:40 am., 22 April, Halifax Regional Police have closed Traffic and Pedestrian access to the area of 160 Chain Lake Drive at the request of Halifax Fire while they deal with a large propane leak in the area.

Police have 127 Chain Lake Drive closed near the “rails to trails” up to Washmill Lake Drive and Chain Lake Drive.

We will advise when the roadway is re opened to Traffic.
