A community choir is being planned for the Prospect area. This choir will be open to all singers of all ages, regardless of experience or ability. There will be no auditions but applicants may request a private evaluation during the three weeks preceding registration.

Repertoire will be a broad mix of folk songs, pop songs, broadway tunes, hymns, and some of the great choral masterworks; always selected to challenge but not overwhelm the singers.

A questionnaire is being circulated to gauge overall interest, as well as to attempt to zero-in on such variables as rehearsal dates & times, location, voice parts and skills etc.

An initial performance is contemplated for the Blessing of the Boats Service in Terence Bay on July 26 with rehearsal dates and times TBA.

Membership will be by registration (dates and contact info TBA) and will entail a nominal membership fee of $40 per semester or $2 per rehearsal to assist with expenses and refreshment costs.

The purpose of the Community Choir is primarily to have fun, but we look forward to making some pretty fine music along the way.

If you are interested please contact Freeman Dryden at 852-3147 or keyplayer@ns.sympatico.ca.
