July 17, 2012, Halifax regional Municipality (HRM)…At approximately 8:25pm, Halifax District RCMP along with HRM Fire responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on the 102 Highway inbound to Halifax just prior to Exit 4C, Lower Sackville.

 A semi-truck and loaded livestock trailer unit  had gone into the ditch at this location and remained upright. The driver did not sustain any injuries. The highway was closed for a number of hours while the livestock (pigs) were transferred to another trailer and the vehicle towed from the ditch.
