Today we awarded the winner of Sirens for Life 2019….. Halifax Fire!!! Congratulations very well deserved!!!
Let me take this time to sincerely Thank each and everyone of you!
We had our BEST Sirens campaign to date….. our Goal was to collect 200 units as a group…. And we surpassed that total…. we collected 307 UNITS!!!! WOW!!!
The reason we run Sirens from June to August is to help with collections as the summer months can be very challenging to reach our targets… I am very proud to say because of YOU we had a Fantastic summer for collections here in Halifax!

Emergency service workers in Halifax Regional Municipality have continued to answer the call to help save more lives as part of this year’s Sirens for Life campaign which kicked off in June.
The friendly challenge between Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency, Halifax Regional Police, RCMP, and EHS ran the entire summer and the life-savers with the most collected donations were announced today, winning the Sirens for Life trophy, in a ceremony at the CBS Halifax clinic.
Emergency service workers often see the need for blood firsthand. Just one person who is seriously injured in a car crash could need as many as 50 blood donations to help save their life. The goal for this year’s Sirens campaign was to collect 200 units of blood and recruit 50 new donors.
