At approximately 5:48 PM, Halifax Regional Police received multiple 911 calls, reporting that there were two gunshots heard near a jewelry store within MicMac Mall, situated at 21 MicMac Bvld, Dartmouth.
Members of Patrol Division responded and secured the scene . It has been determined that no shots were fired; that the noise was caused by display cases being smashed, during a smash-and-grab style robbery.
Police and members of Forensic Unit remain onscene and the investigation is on-going. There is no threat to the public.
