Halifax Regional Police is investigating an assault that occurred
yesterday afternoon in Halifax.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., a 49-year-old man was walking in the 2300
block of Gottingen Street when he passed a group of approximately 10-15
youths consisting of white and black males and females ranging in age
between 16-20. The victim reported that one of the males said something
to him and he was then struck in the face. Several of the people in the
group also assaulted him which lasted a few seconds. The victim was
treated by EHS at the scene and released.
The victim was only able to provide additional information on two of
the suspects. One of them is described as a white male, 16-years-old,
5’6”, 150 lbs. with a thin build. The other is described as a
black man, 20-years-old, 5’8”, 150 lbs. with a medium build and
short black hair.
