Some RCMP services will be impacted by PSAC strike

The Nova Scotia RCMP is providing an update on the impact to administrative RCMP services due to labour disruptions.

The Nova Scotia RCMP, like many federal agencies, will experience impacts due to labour disruptions, however, the impacts will not affect our frontline or core policing services and, services necessary for the safety and security of the public will continue as usual. Public safety remains our top priority.

The labour disruptions will primarily affect administrative services such as administrative support, media relations, web updates and public access to RCMP buildings.

Services relating to criminal record checks will be impacted and for further information, please call the Detachment in your area https://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/detach/en/find/NS.

RCMP Detachments in Northeast Nova and Southwest Nova Districts will only be open to the public offering front-counter services on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be no impacts or changes with regards to the answering of phone calls placed to Detachments.

At this time, RCMP Detachments in Halifax District will not be impacted.

We appreciate your cooperation and your patience.
