“Sorry! Wrong Chimney!” auditions coming up

Bedford PlayersBedford Players will be holding auditions for their fall production of  Sorry! Wrong Chimney! by Jack Sharkey and Leo W. Sears on August 24th and 25th from 7-9pm at the Bedford Players Theatre.

The theatre is located at 1408 Bedford Highway, in the All Saints Anglican Church hall. If possible, please show up for 7pm.

This play is a wacky, light-hearted Christmas farce full of mistaken identities and zany foul-ups, with a smattering of slapstick comedy.

David Tuttle is moonlighting as a department store Santa so that he can buy his wife, Samantha Tuttle, an expensive gift for Christmas.

He tells her he’s working late at the office, but she finds out he isn’t at the office.

Problems ensue with the secret because of Sam’s phone call to the office and the constant barging in of their neighbors, William Weldon and his snooty wife Natalie.

William is a psychiatrist who loves to hypnotize people. Add a slightly off balanced Santa burglar (Kris Kreigle), his tough gun moll Sheila and a hypnotized dancing, stripping and confused policeman into the mix to add to the merriment of this rollicking tale.

Each character is different from the other and the physical comedy adds to their diversity.

The production will run from November 5 to November 21, 2009 (Thursdays to Saturdays).
