From HRM:
(Friday, April 30, 2010) – Attention motorists, on or about Monday, May 3rd, South Park Street, from Fenwick St. to The VG Hospital Parking Lot entrance on South Park St. will be reduced to north (inbound) traffic only.
Generally the work will involve paving, sidewalks/curbs replacement and landscape restoration.
The duration of construction is approximately 10 days.
There will be no south bound (outbound) traffic on South Park St. in the work zone.
One lane, one way north (inbound) traffic on the east side of South Park Street from Fenwick Street to VG Parking Lot entrance will be maintained.
Traffic heading east on South Street will be detoured at Tower Road.
Traffic Heading west down South Street will be able to turn right (north) only on South Park Street.
There will be no on-street parking on South Park Street from Fenwick Street to The VG Parking Lot Entrance.
Please note, all shops and services adjacent to the work zone will remain open during the construction period.
Municipal service disruptions, if required, will be kept to a minimum duration and affected residents and businesses will be notified in advance.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption.
The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with weekends as required.
