Friday, May 27, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that South Street, from Barrington Street to Hollis Street, will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Saturday, May 28.
This closure will be in place from 7 a.m. until approximately 9 p.m., and is required to facilitate a tower crane installation at a development underway at 5151 South Street.
For safety reasons, no vehicular or pedestrian traffic will be allowed on this portion of South Street during the street closure. Traffic control personnel will be onsite to redirect motorists and pedestrians around the affected area.
Access will be maintained for residents of an apartment building near the corner of South and Barrington streets.
The municipality regrets any inconvenience this street closure may cause.
