Here in Canada right now, it’s World Junior Hockey time and we here love our hockey. But whether you’re watching the hockey game tonight or the football game on the weekend or just want a treat that won’t pile on a tone of calories, here’s a quick and easy nacho dish that I make on nights like tonight.
What you’ll need:
Multi-Grain Nacho Chips
Low-Fat Cheese
Extra-Lean Ground Turkey
Low-Sodium Taco Seasoning
Any Veggies that you want to add, I use Green & Red Bell Peppers, Red Onion and Tomato
Salsa
Preparation:
Fry up the lean turkey, drain the fat, add the Taco Seasoning (following the instructions) and add your veggies. On a cookie sheet, lay out a piece of aluminum foil (trying to get baked cheese off a cookie sheet is NOT fun!) and lay out your nacho chips. Sprinkle them in shredded cheese and then with a spoon, pile on your meat and veggies. Bake in the oven at about 300 F until your cheese is melted. Serve with salsa. If desired, I also add a few table spoons of salsa on the nachos before I bake them in the oven.
ENJOY and GO CANADA GO!!!
