Total rainfall: 40 to 65 mm, except locally higher amounts in areas of heaviest rain.
Locations: eastern Nova Scotia
Time span: beginning Thursday late overnight, and continuing until Saturday morning.
Remarks: An area of intense rain is expected to impact areas of Nova Scotia on Friday. The exact location and timing of the heaviest amounts is not completely certain. Rainfall warnings are likely to be issued as the areas receiving the heaviest rainfall amounts become more certain.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Stay clear of fast running rivers and streams.
