Spring Garden Road & Brunswick Street – Natural Gas Pipeline Installation

Monday, July 27, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that work is continuing this week to extend a natural gas main on Spring Garden Road between Brunswick Street and Grafton Street, and on Brunswick Street between Doyle Street and Spring Garden Road.

This work will begin daily at 9 a.m. and continue until about 4 p.m. Crews will maintain one lane of traffic in each direction during those hours.

The daytime work is expected to wrap up on Wednesday, July 29; however, this project will require some night work on Wednesday only. Crews will resume working at about 6 p.m. Wednesday and continue into the night. There will be stop-and-go traffic during this night work. Crews will return at a later date to complete the permanent restoration of the streets.

Motorists should expect delays while this work is underway and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible. Heritage Gas and the municipality regret any inconvenience this work may cause.
