Location: Spring Garden Road, between South Park Street and Dresden Row

Date: Sunday, Feb. 22

Time: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Work details: This is needed for the safe lifting of construction materials.

Traffic impact: Detours will be in place for vehicles. Drivers should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes where possible.

Pedestrian Impact: Sidewalks along the south side of Spring Garden Road will remain open during construction.  Sidewalk users are asked to use alternative crosswalks to navigate around the project site.

Transit Impact: Halifax Transit routes 1, 8, 9A, 9B and 10+ will be detoured via Queen and Morris streets during this work. Passengers can use existing bus stops along the detour route.

Bus stop 8309 on South Park Street (after Morris Street) will not be serviced by route 10+ only, but continue to service other routes

Bus stops 8312 (South Park Street before Spring Garden Road) will be temporarily closed.

Bus stop 8313 (South Park Street before University Avenue) will not be serviced by route 10+, but continue to service other routes.

Bus stops 8334 (Spring Garden Road before South Park Street), 8330 (Spring Garden Road before Dresden Row) and 8336 (Spring Garden Road after Dresden Row) will be temporarily closed to all transit routes
