Friday, Sept. 25, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that crews will be working overnight the next two weeks to replace the sidewalks along Spring Garden Road between Dresden Row and South Park Street.
Weather permitting, this work will begin at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27, and continue until 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28. Crews will be on site the same hours every weekday evening until Friday, Oct. 9. There will be no work overnight Friday, Oct. 2, or Saturday, Oct. 3.
The contractor has been granted an exemption to the noise bylaw to complete this work. Residents and businesses in the immediate area will be notified directly of the possible disruption.
The municipality regrets any inconvenience this overnight work may cause; however, Spring Garden Road is an extremely busy commercial area, so crews need to work in the evening to minimize the impact on pedestrians and local businesses.
