Spryfield Family Style Pub and Brunswick St. Sushi




The former Med Cafe on Herring Cove Rd. will be opening next month as a family style pub, tentatively called “Station 6.”

Christmas Discounters has opened in the former Bayers Lake Pets Unlimited. Glow Parties Hallowe’en stores will open this week in Woodlawn and Bayers Lake.


Lucky Penny Coffee is now open on Quinpool across from PRO Skates.

The new retail space in front 1991 Brunswick St is going to be Roll With It Sushi

King of Donair is now going to be running the donair kiosk at Scotiabank Centre; I’m encouraging them to use the t-shirt gun to fire donairs in the crowd during intermissions.


Hands On Halifax the new community woodworking space on Almon St is now open.

Edible Matters in Hammonds Plains soft-opened their new pub on Thursday, and actual place bar in Hammonds Plains

The ping pong bar, PONG Social Club opened yesterday on Grafton, behind the Dome

Patty Cakes has opened their bakery on Sackville Dr near Cobequid.

Sushi Nami has opened their new spot on Bedford Hwy near Larry Uteck.

The Battered Fish has opened in Halifax Shopping Centre and it has a new model, of picking your fish and your batter type
almost a duplicate of U-Pick Fish in Cheese Curds/Truckside. Seems like an odd move, however, since Battered Fish have closed their Fall River, Sackville, Clayton Park, Woodside, Tantallon and Toronto spots in the last few weeks

David’s Tea in Sunnyside is now open

Down at Bishops Landing, Moon Moon Cosmetics will open next week specializing in imports from Japan, Taiwan, and Korea that are currently unavailable here.

 

Lays and Swiss Chalet have teamed up to make Chalet Sauce flavoured chips, currently only available at Swiss Chalet.
