A proposal has been brought forward by the Presbyterian Church of St. David to redevelop the church hall on Brunswick Street to a 7 storey mixed-use development. The location of this proposal is between the Cambridge Suites Hotel and the Halifax Memorial Library on Brunswick St.

This building will have commercial space along Brunswick St. and office space on the south side of the building for the church. There will be a mix of residential options but mostly consisting of 1 bedroom units. The historic church that faces Grafton Street will not be impacted by this development and the underground parking garage will be accessible via Market St. A few amendments around zoning and setbacks will be required for this development to move forward but it is within the height limits for this area. The application is being considered through the Rezoning/ Land Use By-law Amendment process.
