St. Patrick’s Weekend Wrap-up: March 17-18

Happy St. Patrick's Day Halifax!! We know where all the adult Haligonians will be headed on Saturday, but here are some options for your little leprechauns. 1. If you want to get away from the craziness that will ensue downtown, how about a road trip down the south shore to Ross Farm? They are having a St. Patrick's Day celebration on the farm with crafts, leather punching and treats. As well, they had a new lamb born this week that you can check out! 2. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with crafts, stories and fun featuring the colour green at Green, Green, Glorious Green at the Alderney Gate Library! Don’t forget to wear green! 3. Register now for a St. Patrick's Day Night Tour of Shubenacadie Wildlife Park . You'll get to  wear your green and join them in an easy, guided night time walk of the Shubenacadie Provincial Wildlife Park. Bring a flashlight and get a nocturnal view of the park and its inhabitants. 4. If your kids enjoy a puppet show, there are two St. Patrick's Day shows you can check out! The first is a marionette show at Alderney Landing presenting The Lonely Leprechaun by the Maritime Marionettes. A great family show about global warming. The second is a puppet show of The Leprechaun’s Gold at the Spring Garden library! 5. Head to St. Patrick's Church on Brunswick Street after dinner on Saturday for a beautiful fiddle mass with with Ron Noiles and the Metro Fiddlers! ...
