UPDATED Halifax Regional Police are on scene at Citadel High School after a male youth was stabbed this morning.

In relation to the stabbing that occurred at Citadel High School yesterday morning, the 16 year old suspect was arrested at 11:05pm at a home in the 2400 block of Creighton St in Halifax. The accused is being held for court today and faces charges of aggravated assault, weapons charges and breach of court order.
Police were called by school staff at 9:01 a.m. after an altercation between two youths. One youth was stabbed in the incident and was taken to hospital which what are believed to be non life threatening injuries. The suspect fled the area on foot and police are attempting to locate him at this time. The youths are known to each other and this is not a random incident.
