Stabbing At Dartmouth Pizzeria

On 20140528 at 9:32pm, HRP officers responded to the 0-100 block of Portland Street, Dartmouth, for a weapons complaint. 

The investigation revealed that a 61 year old male victim was in a verbal altercation with a 69 year old male suspect outside a local business. The suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach area. The suspect was subdued by staff until police arrival and he was taken into custody. The victim was transported to the QE2 hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  FIS contacted to continue investigation and process the scene. Male suspect taken into custody and held at HRP headquarters with the matter is still under investigation and charges anticipated.
