Stabbing in Rockingham area

Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred overnight in Halifax.

On March 23 at approximately 01:05 a.m., police responded to a report that a man had been stabbed in the 0-100 block of Flamingo Dr. in Halifax. Officers located the 63-year-old victim inside a residence suffering from non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital for treatment.

Officers arrested a suspect at the scene. This is not believed to be a random incident and officers are not looking for additional suspects at this time.

Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating this incident.
