Stabbing on Brunswick Street

Police have charged a man for a stabbing in Halifax this morning.

At approximately 8 a.m. this morning police responded to a report of an injured person. Police located a 34-year-old Halifax man who had a non-life-threatening-injuries. The victim had been stabbed by a man who was known to him during an altercation in an underground parking garage in the 1900 block of Brunswick Street.

Police located the suspect in the area and arrested him without incident at approximately 9:15 a.m.

Lawrence Harold Churchill, 34, of Halifax is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face charges of:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Breach of probation (X 3)
