Starbucks employee injured during robbery attempt in Dartmouth

Halifax Regional Police received a call from an adult male employee of Starbucks Coffee, 32 Foulis Row Dartmouth, who stated while he was emptying the trash at the rear of the business at 525pm, a male approached him and assaulted him with a sharp object resulting in a minor facial injury. The suspect attempted to remove his wallet, but was unsuccessful. The suspect fled on foot and the victim was treated at the hospital for his injury. Suspect was described as a white male, 20-40 years of age, thin build, haggard looking, wearing a black hoodie, black sneakers with a cross tattoo on his right hand. File is still under investigation.
