Statement from Minister Zach Churchill

NOTE: The following is a statement from Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Zach Churchill.

Today, Feb. 21, the Nova Scotia Teachers’ Union told us their membership voted in favour of illegal job action.

They’ve asked to meet and I am willing to do that, as I have previously. My office has reached out to set that up.

The status quo is not an option. This will have to be a meaningful discussion about solutions to the challenges we have.

I maintain that the best place for students is in our schools.
