On behalf of the provincial government and all Nova Scotians, I want to reiterate my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the law-enforcement professionals who prevented a terrible crime from being committed in our capital city.
Everyday, the men and women who serve in law enforcement prevent many crimes from taking place. All too often, this quiet professionalism is taken for granted by those they serve.
In this case, we are now all reminded of this quiet professionalism — and again we are all grateful.
I also want to recognize the high degree of co-operation that has taken place between the RCMP, Halifax Regional Police and authorities in the United States and thank Crime Stoppers for their continued excellent work.
