Premier Stephen McNeil offered the following statement today, May 29, on the announcement of federal Justice Minister Peter MacKay in Stellarton:

“I would like to thank Peter for his many years of public service to Nova Scotians. Peter and I have enjoyed a very good working relationship and friendship, because we have always shared a common goal of working to make our province a better place.

I wish Peter and his family all the best as they enter the next chapter of their lives. I look forward to talking to him soon.”
