Stay Gold, Ponygirl.

L-A: School Friend Ellie is a big fan of ponies! and because she seemed like she was in a crumby mood today, I thought a post dedicated to ponies! would cheer her up. (yes, that exclamation mark is necessary. It’s how School Friend Ellie says the word). Also, because we were chatting about this gem of a sweater on Awkward Family Photos (a site that can easily suck up a good hour of my day):

Except, I wanted to find pony! themed clothing that a grown up could get away with wearing. And you know what? It’s kind of possible.  Because there are pony sweaters in the world that don’t completely suck. Like this one from Aritzia:

You can get ponies on a t-shirt – which was harder to find than I thought. But I did find this unisex number from Wildfox:

Because, you never know when your boyfriend will want to borrow your pony shirt.  Or how about a top that just looks like you’re going to ride a pony?

what? she's on a pony!

Okay, so that was sort of cheating. But it’s got pony-style, so that those of us who have never ridden a pony can pretend that they do.

And my favourite grown-up pony look? One that is work appropriate?

stay gold, ponygirl!

And as an extra bit of non-fashion related pony-themed cheering up for all of you in crumby moods:

never let anyone say you can't have a pony.

Some Jenn Grant music and CBC show about ponies!

Trust me when I tell you that I sifted through some crappy videos and even crappier songs to get you that much. Not as much pony as I’d like, but what can you do? I guess I could have skipped the video. But that wouldn’t be fun, now would it? For those of you who are not fond of family friendly pony shows, let’s have an Outsiders moment instead:

Oh yeah, stay gold ponyboys and girls. Stay gold.

p.s. happy groundhog day:

totally my favourite fake holiday. Why aren't there any greeting cards?

p.p.s. No, I haven’t Tonya Hardinged Ally to take over the blog. She’ll be back soon enough…I promise!
