Sticking To The Budget

Happy Weekend friends!  Friday evening has arrived, whoohoo!  I thoroughly enjoyed my day off. Spent the morning shopping, (pics below) and the afternoon tidying up/chilling, went to my doctors appointment and then had a lovely drive along the coast back home.

The doctors appointment went well. I saw the doctor on duty, he refilled my prescriptions and we had a little chat about my over all health.  My blood pressure was normal (!) I explained that I had gained some weight back due to stress and was trying to lose it etc.  He encouraged that and fixed my blood work forms.  (I was missing information on them and couldn’t go this morning as planned.)  I’m glad I went and talked about my health, it was good and has only helped to further re-instill all the reasons I need to lose weigh and stay healthy.  I’m so glad that I signed up for WWs again too!  I feel like this is my second wind (in the weight loss journey) so to speak!

Now these next pictures may surprise you, give the fact that I just said that I’m trying to lose weight.  But remember, moderation… 😉

I tweeted earlier that it felt like a good night for fish & chips.  So we ordered take out from a local place.  I was a tad disappointed when I opened up my carton and there was NO TARTAR SAUCE. 🙁  Tartar sauces makes the meal in my opinion.  I sucked it up and used ketchup instead.   Dinner was good and totalled 19 pointsWAPs are there for a reason peeps!

My attempt to balance the grease out with some veggies.  California salad that I picked up from the grocery store – mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, craisins, mandarins and a sprinkle of sliced almonds.

Crispy haddock x 2.

Coleslaw.

Fries.  Yes, they were good.

Here’s the loot from my shopping trip this morning.   It wasn’t that bad trying on clothes. I found some cute stuff. Between the huge sales at Reitmen’s and Value Village being cheap in general, I got all this for under $100.00.   Yup, 2 blouses, 1 plaid shirt  – it looks really cute on me!, 3 tees, 2 pairs of dress pants, 1 pair of casual pants and a skirt.  PS.  Sorry for the crappy pics, no idea what happened.

Oh and I also snagged some new stuff for the kitchen.  These funky glasses that will be great for smoothies and banana soft serve!

And these little bowls for berries, yogurt, ice cream etc.  Ever since I got MariLynn I’ve been looking for new dishes for my pictures.

So I’m happy to say that I stuck to both budgets today.  Tracked my points and indulged a bit for supper and didn’t break the bank buying new clothes! Whoohoo!

One more day to sign up for the Yoga Challenge.  I’m going to post a list of participants tomorrow night so if you haven’t signed up already, do it soon —-> here.
