Stolen groceries lead to charges

On July 19th, 2020 at 4:51 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Atlantic Wholesale Cash and Carry, located 7111 Chebucto Road, Halifax. A staff member was assaulted as they attempted to stop two males who had just stolen a grocery cart filled with energy drinks and chocolate bars.

Halifax Regional Police members identified and arrested two males. The matter has been investigated by members of Patrol Division with assistance from the General Investigations Section.  A 41 year old male has been charged with robbery, while a 35 year old male has been charged with theft/possession under $5000 and failure to comply with a condition of an undertaking. Both men will appear in Halifax Provincial Court Monday, July 20, 2020.
