Attention motorists and cyclists, ARCP, on behalf of Halifax Water, will be completing road reinstatement work near the intersection of Barrington Street and Duke Street on Tuesday, May 19, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 20, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Sidewalks on both sides of the road are expected to remain open during this work.
There will be one lane of stop and go traffic through the work zone. The traffic light will be turned off during this work at the intersection of Barrington Street and Duke Street. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow through the work zone and the nearby intersection.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
For the safety of work crews and residents, please maintain social/physical distancing requirements of at least 2 metres/6 feet.
Water, wastewater and stormwater services will not be impacted by this work.
