Natural Gas Pipeline Installation – Vernon Street

Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that work will begin Friday, Aug. 29, to extend the natural gas main on Vernon Street between Cherry Street and Shirley Street in Halifax. The pipe installation and subsequent restoration work is expected to take approximately three weeks.

Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that work will begin Friday, Aug. 29, to extend the natural gas main on Vernon Street between Cherry Street and Shirley Street in Halifax.

The pipe installation and subsequent restoration work is expected to take approximately three weeks.

During construction, motorists should expect stop-and-go traffic. No work will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Heritage Gas and the municipality apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
