Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that a section of Willett Street in Halifax will be closed on Friday, Aug. 29, to facilitate paving in that area.
Crews will be working from 7 a.m.
until about 9 p.m. During that time Willett Street from Main Avenue to Sunnybrae Avenue will be closed to traffic. Construction staff on site will facilitate access for local residents as they’re able but there may be some delays. Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes, if possible.
This closure is necessary to complete the first round of paving work on Willett Street before the start of school next week. Crews will return in the coming weeks to finish the project.
The municipality apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause.
